Sooner Trailers got its start in 1956, founded by Francis Cobb. Back then the company wasn't even in the business of building trailers, the whole idea got rolling when someone needed a stock rack built and Cobb agreed to take on the job. From that small beginning, Sooner grew under the ownership of the Bernhardt family of Duncan, Oklahoma, into a builder of premium custom aluminum trailers made for the most discriminating buyers out there.

Over the years Sooner has kept growing its lineup, turning out a wide range of horse and livestock trailers year after year. Today Sooner trailers are manufactured in El Reno, Oklahoma, and get distributed across the country through roughly 120 dealers in more than 35 states, along with international dealerships in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Sooner also stands behind its trailers with one of the best warranties in the business, something the company takes real pride in. Their current lineup includes the enhanced Sooner Ranch livestock trailer, which recently picked up a handful of rugged new design upgrades, including 5" closed posts in the nose area on 7'6" models for added strength and structural support in the gooseneck, Huck bolt fasteners on the subframe for a stouter subframe construction with more than double the shear strength, a standard rear gate slam latch for safer and easier livestock loading, plus 2" x 4" posts for the jack and spare tire, carriage bolts on the cam lock rods, and a removable jack handle as a standard feature.
